Since the first day of the month was on a Friday and we had a little April Fool’s Day post for you up our sleeves we decided that the beautifully designed websites of March post had to be pushed forward to the following week. We hope you don’t mind us scheduling in time for some good old-fashioned fun. Anyway as always, throughout the month, we have been looking through the World Wide Web to find the most beautifully designed websites. If you want to view even more designs you can always look at our February and January posts. Enjoy!
As well as an aesthetically pleasing design this website is a fun concept too. You can name the NERC’s latest research ship which is set to sail in 2019. The web design is a pleasant combination of a strip layout, high-quality video backgrounds and simple, cohesive icons and illustrations. The entire design is tied together via a nautical theme (for obvious reasons) which is clear and evident throughout. Head over there now to vote for your favourite name or submit your own.
Even if you don’t enjoy travelling, you will most certainly enjoy this website. Travel magazine KLM celebrated their 50th anniversary by showing you 50 breath-taking reasons to travel through their new micro-site. All you have to do is scroll to witness the stunning photography and impeccable design. Complete with beautiful typography matches and subtle video animations this is a web destination you do not want to miss.
Another fun and interactive page where you can learn all about space. The consistent and fun graphics help tie the whole concept together. The clever development and user interface allow you to control almost every aspect of the web page without compromising on speed and efficiency. Although the page walks you through the complexity of space the user experience couldn’t be more simple; learn and have fun!
Thanks for reading about our favourite web designs of March. We’ll see you next month for more beautifully designed websites!
