For the past few weeks we’ve been talking alot about marketing automation and how it can directly affect your SME now. However – it made us think. What will marketing automation paired with artificial intelligence technology be like in the future? So we came up with some of our best ideas.
It could save marketeers even more time
We’ve spoken about this before. Marketing automation and artificial intelligence can save marketeers time. By completing menial tasks for us our time is then freed up to do more creative or strategic work. This drives the focus back in to the principles behind marketing – creating content that makes your audience desire your product or service.
It could replace some marketeers?!
This is a bit of a scary one for marketeers. Although in many ways marketing automation and artificial intelligence could take away from our jobs. Tasks like collating reports, sending out mailing campaigns, answering messages on social can all be done by technology – technology still cannot be creative. Artificial intelligence as we know it cannot think up creative strategies, designs or ideas – yet.
It will get more personal
We think that with marketing technology on the rise, online campaigns will become even more personalised. Artificial intelligence and marketing automation will not just push marketing offers on your birthday. They will also dig into your online purchasing behavior. Do you do a lot of online shopping around payday? Come the 30th you’re phone will send you the notification “Hey, it’s time for some payday shopping”. Then it’ll bring up a few store suggestions for you, taking into consideration your last purchases. Each time, getting closer and closer to the perfect shopping suggestions.
IoT and smarter technology will be on the rise
You’ve probably heard us talk about IoT (the internet of things) a million times on this blog. But there’s good reason for it. The more automating software and artificial intelligence grow in popularity so do the devices that they are compatible with too. You’re fridge door could become a screen for a shopping list, where your family – no matter where in the world – can update it with items they need, live and all at the same time. Then imagine if your fridge could then put bring up stores where you can buy all of these products online in one place? Hello super speedy groceries.
It’ll be easier to programme
It’s no surprise that with marketing automation software and artificial intelligence on the rise, these programmes will get easier to create and use. The more accessible technology is to marketeers, the more resources and support there will be for this type of technology. Think simple user interfaces, shallow learning curves and an overall easier user experience for not only the users but the creators too. Here’s to an easier future!
